NTTU Faculty of Medicine Signs Cooperation Agreement with Ho Chi Minh City Mental Health Hospital
Nguyen Tat Thanh University (NTTU) recently signed a cooperation agreement with Ho Chi Minh City Mental Health Hospital, marking an important milestone in the university’s strategy to train high-quality healthcare professionals. This partnership strengthens NTTU’s network with major hospitals in Ho Chi Minh City, creating expanded opportunities for student internships, clinical practice, and future employment.
Representing the Ho Chi Minh City Mental Health Hospital were Dr. Nguyen Dang Khoa (Specialist Level I) – Director; Dr. Truong Hong Son (Specialist Level II) – Deputy Director; Dr. Tran Duy Tam (Specialist Level II) – Head of the General Planning Department; and Dr. Vu Kim Hoan (Specialist Level II) – Deputy Head of the General Planning Department.
From NTTU, attendees included Dr. Tran Ai Cam – President; Assoc. Prof. Dr. Le Thi Kim Nhung – Dean of the Faculty of Medicine; and Dr. Hoang Van Quang – Vice Dean of the Faculty.
The signing ceremony was conducted in full compliance with COVID-19 safety regulations. The agreement focuses on the mutual goal of developing well-trained mental health professionals—an area that is increasingly important and in high demand. Both parties aim to cooperate in training activities, providing clinical placements, enhancing practical skills, and contributing to the development of mental healthcare services.
During her remarks, Dr. Tran Ai Cam expressed her appreciation to the hospital’s leadership for supporting NTTU’s efforts to strengthen the quality of medical training. She emphasized that this collaboration will offer students valuable hands-on experience, helping them gain confidence and professional skills before graduation. The partnership also lays a strong foundation for expanding NTTU’s mental health training programs in the coming years.
On the occasion of Vietnamese Doctor’s Day (February 27), Dr. Tran Ai Cam also extended best wishes to the medical staff and doctors of the Ho Chi Minh City Mental Health Hospital, acknowledging their dedication and contributions to community healthcare.
